Year Three – Growing & Multiplying Churches DMIN

The purpose of the third year residency is to examine cultural anthropology and multi-ethnic church growth and multiplication. Challenges and issues related to post-modernism, as well as updates on recent research and emerging models will be explored. Drs. McIntosh and Van Engen will guide students in exploring aspects of growing, planting, and multiplying churches among the growing multi-ethnic peoples of North America. An explanation of the dissertation project will be explained, as well as discussion of the process for preparing a book proposal for a publisher.

Year Two – Growing & Multiplying Churches DMIN

The purpose of the second year residency is to introduce strategies for turning around declining churches and for restoring health and growth to established churches. An emphasis on church planting and multiplication as the primary means of effective evangelism is also explored. Strategies and practices of church planters, such as how to use demographics, select and train church planters, and daughter church planting will be studied.

Year One – Growing & Multiplying Churches DMIN

The purpose of the first year residency is to introduce the student to the principles of biblical church growth as applied to North American churches, with particular emphasis on how to reach non-Christian, secular peoples. By the end of the course the students should be able to explain what church growth is and why it is needed, identify basic principles of church growth, and apply proper church growth principles in their ministry to enhance conversion church growth.

The purpose of TTPT722 is to examine the role of small groups in the local church for developing biblical community and discipleship. Emphasis is placed on understanding interpersonal relationships, character development, and skills for organizing and leading a small group ministry.
