The Church Growth Network, founded in 1987, provides a wide range of professional consulting services for churches. Our firm is particularly well-versed in church analysis, strategic planning, staffing, breaking size barriers, coaching of church planters, and generational change issues.
Offering the expertise necessary to coach a church through the myriad complexities of growth, our services are outlined throughout this web site. They briefly describe our attitude and approach to the key area of church growth. Also included is a resume of the ministry’s lead consultant, Gary L. McIntosh, and our associate coaches and consultants.
Projects undertaken by our firm are accomplished either on a direct consulting basis, a coaching relationship via one-on-one, phone, or computer networking, or training workshops. Our firm is committed to building trust among involved parties and providing personalized service.
The McIntosh Church Growth Network offers consultation services where success is measured by our satisfied clients, who receive projects delivered on time and within budget. Consultation development, implementation, and coordination is accomplished on a consensual basis involving all affected parties.
By providing timely responses to the client’s needs, maintaining a consciousness towards costs and developing better communication among all parties, McIntosh Church Growth Network has enjoyed a significant track record.
The Mission of the Church Growth Network is to assist churches and Christian leaders to reach their greatest effectiveness in finding, keeping, and building people.
The McIntosh Church Growth Network is set apart from other similar firms by the following distinctives.
Personal Service -We emphasize personalized service with our clients, a sensitivity to their needs, and a desire to reach mutually acceptable solutions.
Knowledge and Experience - Our expertise in the identification of potentially significant issues and problem areas helps assist our clients in anticipating and, in most cases, addressing these issues before they become stumbling blocks to growth.
Communication and Coordination -We facilitate better communication among team members by listening to their needs and promoting active participation and exchange of ideas.
Reasonable Costs – We are committed to providing personal service to all who desire it, and who are serious in their commitment to growth, at an affordable cost.
Identifying Communities of Interest - We work with staff, leaders, and decision-makers to gain a clearer understanding of their concerns and the issues they feel need to be addressed.
Listening and Communicating - We have developed a set of well-tested procedures and practices that help to assure that we hear as well, and communicate clearly, as possible, through the use of active listening and jargon-free language.
Effective Meetings – We conduct well-planned and carefully organized meetings involving key individuals or groups.
The “Win-Win” Process - Gaining consensus requires a commitment of all parties to work together through the entire process of identifying issues, communicating goals, finding common ground, and translating ideas into tangible products within the proposed project, plan, or program.
The McIntosh Church Growth Network currently provides the following services to accomplish our mission.
- Coaching – People today are using personal coaches for everything from exercise to weight loss to career development. We have discovered that pastors and church leaders also benefit from a personal coach who provides a resource outside of their ministry. A personal coach can meet individually on a monthly or quarterly time schedule. Coaching is also available via phone or computer networking.
- Consulting – The consulting process is a supportive and coordinated effort between local church leaders and The McIntosh Church Growth Network. It is not a “canned” approach. Rather, it is a process which guides a participating congregation to discover and develop its own individual plan for church growth. Consultation is available from one day to as long as needed.
- Workshops and Seminars - Training seminars and workshops are available on a number of topics or individually prepared or special needs. Three to six hour workshops offered in a half or full day format are the most common. However, workshops may also be scheduled for leadership retreats or other situations as needed.
